Mindful Wing Chun is a full-time Wing Chun school located in the heart of Hong Kong. Our teachers, who have a combined total of over 50 years’ experience in the art, have all dedicated their lives to Wing Chun.
Although our school derives from the lineage of the famous Grandmaster Ip Man, our training and teaching methods are quite different from those of other schools. The uniqueness of our “internal” style of Wing Chun was inspired by the teachings of our teacher, Grandmaster Chu Shong Tin. He was considered one of the greatest practitioners and teachers of this art of Kung Fu. This internal aspect of the art makes Wing Chun much more than just an outstanding self-defence system. It also helps balance the body and mind by cultivating mindfulness and deep relaxation. Leading to a pain-free, stress-free life.
Furthermore, for us, Wing Chun is a way of life! We recommend it to everyone regardless of age, gender and physical ability. Additionally, it can improve people’s quality of life in many ways.

We believe that the true essence of martial arts is to promote personal growth, inner balance and healing. We strive for excellence and set high standards while treating each student as a unique individual with their own special needs and style of learning. Our philosophy and approach to teaching is based on the strong belief that all students, regardless of their strengths and weaknesses, are like family. Whether the student is athletically elite or has less motor skills. Therefore, every person is welcome as we all add something distinctive and valuable to the learning experience.
The family atmosphere of the Mindful Wing Chun is one of great respect. Where all participants are honoured and Kung Fu is practiced in a progressive and safe manner. Moreover, students will understand and experience the internal aspects of power development and its application in movements, techniques and self-defence scenarios in a safe and supportive environment. We strive to develop inner peace and stillness for the highest potential of each individual to emerge through the vehicle of martial arts. Our programs consist within a non-competitive atmosphere where students are invited to accept themselves and each other with non-judgment. We model and teach unconditional acceptance in all aspects of the student’s training. Students are encouraged to do their best without feeling that they must be the best in order to be accepted or appreciated.
Ultimately, we believe that our job is to assist our students on their journey towards self-awareness and character development.
