Five Days of Deeper Practice: Mindful Wing Chun Training Camp, Hong Kong

September Camp Group Shot
This September, practitioners from more than five countries came together in Hong Kong for the Mindful Wing Chun Training Camp.
Five days. More than 30 hours of training. Different lineages, different levels of experience, and participants ranging in age from 19 to 67.

Rather than trying to fit as many Wing Chun techniques as possible into the week, the focus was on going deeper into the principles behind movement and understanding how those principles can be integrated into each individual body.

Across the five days, we explored whole-body integration in action, active versus floppy relaxation, habitual movement patterns, fascia and its relationship to both everyday movement and martial arts practice.

The training also included plenty of Chi Sau, partner work and combination drills, giving participants the opportunity to apply these principles in increasingly dynamic situations.

Thank you to everyone who travelled to Hong Kong, trained with us and contributed to the experience.
